Yesterday was the day insurgents broke into the United States capitol. My wonderful law school roommate gave me the idea to compare Trump's cronies to Harry Potter death eaters. 

The first obvious one is Trump as Voldemort

Narcissistic racist obsessed with power and himself.

   

Second: Rudy Giuliani as Lucius Malfoy

Tries to seem like their lord's most faithful servant- messes up a lot. Also racist and narcissistic.

Third: Mitch McConnell as Fenir Greyback

Extremely dangerous. Willing to do despicable things. Likely to think "these people had it hard so everyone has to have it hard"

 

Fourth: William Barr as Corban Yaxley

Both heads of law enforcement and both racist 

Fifth: Ted Cruz as Peter Pettigrew

Groveler who tried really hard to be their master's number one and failed miserably. Untalented and hateful.

Sixth: Mike Pompeo as Barty Crouch Jr.

Not super important members of the squad and did terrible things. Both died, one politically and the other with a dementor's kiss because of their membership in the squad.

AND *DRUM ROLL*  Seventh: Betty DeVos as Narcissa 

Despicable crazy woman who hates children. 

Bonus random thoughts: Lindsey Graham as Umbridge? 

What about the Harry Potter squad?

John Biden as Harry?

Stacey Abrams as Hermione?

Barack Obama as Ron?

So much equivalence between Harry Potter characters and USA Politicians
